Relay protection is a component that plays an important role in the security system in the distribution network system. Referring to one of the relay requirements, which must be able to work selectively. Selective in the sense that it can distinguish carefully in mensensing and overcoming disturbances so that the coordination work between protection relays in the distribution network system can work properly. The protection value parameters used for comparison of Micom and Sepam relays use the Electrical Protection Code standard ANSI (American National Standart Institute) 50/51 OCR (Over Current Relay) where protection uses 2 tripping time curves, namely IDMT (Inverse Definite). From the analysis, it is known that both relays, Micom and Sepam, meet one of the relay performance requirements before field installation.
